Aerobatics within a flight simulator? Yes, it is possible, and as you will see, most things can be translated from real life to virtual aerobatics, much more than you would expect. And the best thing is: It is fun. Start with some simple figures, build up your skills by learning step-by-step and you will have the most fun.  You can compete in the Virtual Aerobatic World Championship using either Microsoft Flight Simulator 9, FSX, X-Plane 9 (windows), X-Plane 10 (windows) or Lockheed Prepar3D.
