Aerobatic box
This is an aerobatic box layout on the ground. It marks the borders of the
performance zone.
The size is 1000 x 1000 meters (3300' x 3300').
I make the strips much bigger in flight simulator since the original size
doesn't help a lot.
The arrows on the main axis are displaying the wind direction. This is
important that you know the direction to start your performance.
The Judges will be on one side of the secondary axis.
You will fly your program parallel to the main axis - in the case
of cross-box figures, you will fly parallel to the secondary axis. The more you
are pointing in the wrong direction the lower the grade would be.

Of course, the real box is not on the ground but in the air. There are lower and
upper boundaries depending on the class you are flying in:
-> Advanced and Unlimited defined by FAI in meters.
-> In brackets the values are displayed from the IAC-Homepage.
-> Values from Sportsman and Intermediate are German specifics.
-> Disqualification height is always half of the lower border.

* There are no penalty points if exceeding the upper border in the sportsman,
intermediate and advanced class. Nevertheless there will be reduction on
the framing mark.
For our competition I will ALWAYS go for the meters displayed here in this
table. If you attend a local competition please ask the officials before you
start the competition.
